Hemiparesis Following Stroke: Achieving Symmetry Through FES Cycling

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) using a bike has enabled this patient, who is recovering from right sided hemiparesis following a stroke, to regain cardiovascular endurance, range of motion and strength. The bike stimulates and provides feedback to the affected muscles, allowing symmetry of movement.
